to get the mad rush of games (or to catch up)
most internet connections (that you pay for) will have a newsgroup server (find out if you don't know). Then there are some great newsgroup servers that are 10bucks a month or so.
from there, look at alt.binaries.emulation.misc
there has been 3 floods of needed soon roms and one .57 files already up there. Select the 40 files, start downloading, go to bed. In the morning, you have them all.
what to use.
newsbin pro is a great program for downloading
giganews is a pretty good program for downloading
freeagent sucks for downloading groups, but great for reading messages and sending messages.
outlook express sucks big donkey !@#!@... don't even bother... better free stuff on the next
