: : I tried using a jumper, check the bios, everything I could think of. Is there a way to let an atx just power on when it gets power? I can add a button, but it would be so much cooler not to.

: : thanks :)

: I've been working on this problem myself... There isn't a way to make it come on just when it gets power, but I did do a little relay hack. Basically it requires 4 relays and will generate a True-False Transition everytime the power is switched.... to either on or off. The parts are very inexpensive and it's relatively easy to do. E-Mail me if you are interested.

Or replace your motherboard. Nearly all modern motherboards have an "always on" setting in the BIOS. What is the brand and model of your mobo?

Look closely in the BIOS. There ought to be a setting for "after power interruption", which usually can be set to "power on", "power off", or "last state."
