Use KE-72?

It sounds like you're pretty set on the I-PAC - which is a great choice (I use an OptiPAC for my spinner & trackball), but have you considered a KE-72? The KE-72 supports up to 72 inputs which would be more then plenty for your 4 players - plus any additional buttons you might want to add later (ESC, ENTER, etc.).

The KE-72 is available through Hagstrom Electronics (website).
