: Since the kodak picture frame doesn't have any direct connections to a computer, you need a

: 1) kodak picture frame. ($119)
: 2) smartcard emulator ($40... commonly used to steal dss satellite stuff, like pay per view)
: 3) hack the buttons (so you can tell it to reload an image on your emulated smart card)
: 4) some coding to emulate the smartcard... shouldn't be to hard... load a jpg under the a name shouldn't be to hard... shouldn't be...)

Uh, this doesn't use the smartcards that DSS systems use. This uses a standard Compact Flash card.

I'm working on a design for an auto-updating marquee using an LCD panel. I've got a little LCD TV, but that might be too small. If it is, I'll cannibalize a laptop.

The way to go about it is to rip out the LCD panel and put a nice bright bulb behind it. Then put a Fresnel lens in front of it and use it to project the image on a panel of frosted glass (or maybe Lexan with thin white paper).
