Boy, are you in for some fun/headaches! I've been working on MY Killer Instinct 2 Mame cabinet for 2 weeks straight and I'm still not done. You mad e a wise choice since you get 2 micro-switch joysticks and 6 buttons per player. Go with the J-Pac converter, it works great and there's no soldering to mess with. Plus, Andy Warne provides excellent support via e-mail. Finding the perfect video card will be your biggest challenge. If you only want to run Mame games on it, then try the ATI Expert98 (only 40-50 bucks). The picture is outstanding, using AdvanceMame to create perfect resolutions for each game. BUT, it's NOT Vesa 3.0 compliant, and neither VBE.com or Scitech Display Doctor recognize the card, sooooo... if you want to run other DOS emu's, they HAVE to have a -novesa mode. Then you can run the VGA.com utility to get a picture on those. So far Genecyst is the only emu that has this option that I've found. It appears that only a video card using the SIS 6326 or Trident 3D blade will provide the best all around support for DOS emu's. But even they have certain issues. After going through 4, I'm STILL trying out different video cards... keep us posted on your progress!

: I read down the board about some kind of VGA converter that would allow me to run my games from the Killer Instinct monitor (Ipac? Jpac?). Would it be wise to use the arcade monitor since it will be turned on and off at least once a day? Or would it be better to use the s-video on the ATI Radeon?
