: A genuine arcade trackball of course! :o)

I like the Kensington Expert Mouse Pro, but it's $100.8-O You could almost buy the real thing for that.:-\
Its 2 1/4" translucent ball is a little on the light weight side to me, so I bought a standard pool 8 ball to replace it. I didn't do any other hacking, but it looks pretty easy to hack if you want to.

Note that I am using the PC version for mame and normal windows use. I don't know why the Mac-only version is $10 more, since the "PC" version is mac compatable and comes with mac drivers. Maybe kensington thinks mac uses will pay more? Or maybe the Mac-only version comes with extra software? The only difference I could tell in the store is the color of the ball. [shrug]
I been hearing the CompUSA kid's trackball is a good trackball to hack, but don't know if it's usb. In general, if it's USB, the mouse will work on a Mac, and the PC trackballs are usually a little cheaper that those for macs, so be sure to check the PC stores too.

Good hunting!
