I am curently in the proccess of designing a microcontroller based keyboard interface and I was wondering if anyone here has tried to do this themselves and can give me a few pointers/hints.
Here are some of the features I'm thingking of
8x8 matrix
RS232 port for PC programming
keyboard through port so you can have your control panel and keyboard hooked together at the same time.
20Mhz clock speed (plenty fast enough!)
3 optional relays for turning lights on and off.
