You bet I took your advice, and it looks like I made a great decision! I didn't get the mounting plate because I plan on recessing my trackball and spinner into the wood so that no mounting plate sticks out. It'll be a little more difficult but I've seen it done on some of the project pages.

Ordering and shipping went well. I ordered right around the holidays so there was a little confusion. Some woman called me to confirm my credit/address information because someone was on vacation or something. But it showed up today and it looks like it'll be perfect.

Thanks for the tip on the mounting plate. If for some reason I need it (like my woodworking skills aren't good enough to do the recessed trackball) I will order the plate. If I had known before I might have just ordered it anyway since it's so cheap, but we'll see, chances are I won't use it.

: I see you took my advice on the betson/imperial trackball. I had planned on getting the blue also. Did you get the mounting plate with it? Please let me know how it went. (Ordering and shipping) And please let me know how it works. I haven't been able to get mine yet. BTW, if you need the mounting plate, goto the parts page and search for "adaptor plate". I believe it is the only thing that comes up. Good luck.
