I just bought an ATI Radeon VE video card and a new RCA 25" TV with s-video and I'm having problems getting Mame to display on the TV. I've heard good things about ATI's tv-out - has anyone had luck specifically with this card?
When the computer boots up, the TV gives me an "Unusable signal message". This stays on the screen until I go into my video settings in Window and shrink the horizontal or vertical size (either one) of the TV output - then the picture comes up on the TV. I haven't been able to save this setting - I click the OK and/or Apply buttons, but when I re-boot, there's no picture on the TV, until I adjust this setting again.
Now for the MAME part - as soon as I drop into DOS, the TV loses the signal from the video card and comes back with an "Unusable signal message". If I switch back to Windows, the TV screen remains blank until I shrink the horizontal or vertical size setting for the video card.
I'm getting a little frustrated - can anyone help? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
