I am in the same boat with you. My cabinet is only 24" wide. I've looked at and measured dozens of 25" and 27" TV's. Other than taking the TV out of the shell, the only other thing I've thought of is to use a router and shave a quarter inch off of each side of the cabinet at the appropriate spots.
: Sadly the cabinet I have is only 24" inner width, and it seems even the smallest 25" TV's clock in at 24.5" wide. Most are in the neighborhood of 26". It figures it would be a half inch off. Unless I went through a major cabinet reconstruction, I'd have to either disassemble a TV or readjust my priorities and drop down to a 19" TV or a 21" monitor.
