Ok I do this alot so here ya go...

Ati= good
Geforce(cheap version)= bad
Geforce(good version)= pretty good
TNT= good
everything else= BAD

Ok as for your card....

All the radeons are prettymuch the same with the obvious processor/memory differences...
Actually having the older model is a good thing, since xp's support of the newest radeons is somewhat shakey at the moment.

If your not using xp I'm sure your thinking, "So what?," but I've got a feeling that pretty soon Xp will be the great dividing line, like back in the day when everyone had to give up 3.11, face the facts and switch to win95. It won't happen overnight, but you might as well be prepared.

Of course I'm going off course here... that card will work really well, but output wise, your probably not going to see any major diff between it and the 128.

: Hey everyone...I have a chance to swap my ATI AIW128 16MB AGP for an ATI Radeon 64MB DDR AGP. Its just the plain radeon, not the 7200,7500, or 8500.

: Would there be any benefit to doing this? Would it be any faster at all for MAME? Does the S-Video out quality look better?

: I had some issues with getting S-Video working right w/ an nVidia Geforce2 Ti, so I'm kinda gun shy about nVidia right now, and don't want to shell out big bucks for any high-end ATI card. Oh, and this is for a dedicated MAME cabinet, so PC/3d stuff is not important...

: Thanks!
