Tom, I'm working on a project now that uses a 16 pin SOIC package chip. I've never soldered one of these before (and really don't see how without a very fine iron). I'm putting it on a prototyping surfboard-SIP module . Can you explain in a little more detail about the solder paste and heat gun method?

Thanks.

: Can you do surface mount circuitry? (as in solder paste and heat type) If so, get an AD725 from Analog Devices, I hear its a really good chip.

: : I am trying to build a Supergun , does any one out there know a simple way to convert the 5 pin RGB output to composite video without buying a costly converter . I would like to keep it a cheap project . Any help would be great .
: : Thanks
