I thought of that, too. ;) I tried all the MS USB device drivers that I could find. No luck. USB works a lot differently than gameport controllers. USB reports device ids which I think is the easy way the driver can tell if it's the right device.
I've got the thing taken apart and I'm cataloging all the parts I can find. I'm going to put a webpage together soon with datasheets and such. Maybe we'll figure out what that 5th wire really does and how to use it. (assuming we can get a USB driver thingy going for the rest)
