I have a 32x, but I forget the exact specs. It is an add on for the Sega Genesys. I beleive it contains a pair of 32 bit processors and allowed for better graphics and speed. It came out before the Saturn and N64 systems. There were only about twenty gammes released for it, and a few SegaCD games were written to work with the 32x as well. Doom, Virtua Racing, Shadow Squadron, and a few others were pretty good games for the 32x. Some of the 32x games really did not look much better than the original Genesys games.
The 32x was doomed to obscurity because the Saturn and N64 came out and most companies just started developing for those platforms. The initial price of the 32x was kind of high as well.
