Well I hope this guy has some backups somewhere else (on his ISP account, or on CDs in a safety deposit box) because if anything happens to that machine, he will not be forgiven by the entire emulation community. It's awfully dangerous to have the only one copy of this in one place. And I find it very hard to believe that the manager or lead programmer of the original doesn't have copies.

: Reminds me of the evil villains in the TV shows who like to collect everything and keep them from everyone else. At least put it in a museum or a place where people can see them and play them.

: : : Exactly the opposite of everyone I've seen in this hobby. Why would he want to intentionally keep the game out of circulation?

: :
: : iirc it's because the author of the game has requested it and that was one of the conditions of his aquiring it.

:
: : And if you think about it you're not in the same hobby as he is. He spends large sums of money to rescue rare games and you just wait for someone to give you something for free. You'll find a lot of game collectors don't like mamers.
