can laptop monitors be used form a standard PC

: Hi : i have this old Pentium laptop and thought it would be cool if i could use the monitor of it and put a more powerfull PC behind it i mean why pay for a new LCD screen when i have one sittin doin nothing? : Well can this be done i know laptops can be outputted to another monitor but can a PC be inputed in to the laptops monitor? : Thanks for anyhelp : LaMe_ :
