Many of these new frontends go full screen like RD and ArcadeFX. I know how you feel, that's why I am making my own.
Also find a frontend called PartyOn.
You will need to run windows. There are a bunch of pc games that work rather nicely in an arcade envirnmoent. The Pro Pinball and golden tee golf series come to mind.

mame.net has them, otherwise search around mameworld. Any that don't just make your own with I think F12 in mame.

Recompile mame and get rid of the ok screens. It isn't that hard to do. Though some programming experience is nice. Basically you setup the programming environment to how mame.net tells you. Find some site that says what line to change to get rid of those screen. Then compile your own.
