it does limit frontend choices a little bit (i use emuloader but looking at alternaives which would be easier for guests). And running XP at 640X480 stinks.
OH - I also don't like that with hardware stretching some games "creep" because of pixel resizing (try forcing a game like carnival to run at 640X480 and you'll see what i mean). I doubt 800X600 would make it much better, but perhaps some more choices of lower resolutions would..
