"The same reason why most people use DOS for emulation rather than Windows, lack of excess baggage."

Huh? Andy you've seriously been working too hard on those ipacs. ;-)
The current trend is to switch to windows, so I'd have to see numbers before I could buy that more people use dos over windows. I think it's about 50/50 at the moment and the win users are growing. Which was my point... we WANT the excess baggage if it adds functionality. Why do you think we have dozens of graphicaly rich fe's in development now as well as 3d emus that run in windows only.

Just an opinion sure, but i'm one of the few that's been around since the beginning, (although you wouldn't know it... i went by another nick) but wasn't hardcore enough to get set in my ways.

: The present board offers 100% information of course, even the headings of replies, which you can change, impart info to some extent and just scrolling down the page invites interest and prompts newcomers to open some of the threads. It's a hard act to beat....
: phpBB is OK but hopefully not with the current colour scheme which would probably be more suited to a funeral directors association message board...

:
: : 1. phpBB - light on graphics, good speed
: : 2. XMB - dig the polls, a little too pretty
: : 3. wwwthreads - too bare
: : 4. YaBB - way too pretty, too slow
