Well, after about a year and a half looking at this site and msg board, plotting, planning, and procrastinating, I finally have my box o' parts from Happ, and I just cut into the first piece of wood.
It's just a controller, not a cabinet (yet); nonetheless, I'm so excited I could plotz!
As for cutting into my first piece of wood, this may be obvious to everyone here, but I didn't really realize...
I thought I just didn't know how to use a jigsaw, because even though I was using a piece of wood as a guide, I couldn't cut straight. Also, my cuts were all crooked along the cut edge of the wood (top to bottom as you are working). Then the blade broke, and the only thing they had at the Crafty Beaver were these really expensive blades made by Milwaukee. I had to get blades, so I bought them, took them home, and good lord, I was cuttin' like a pro! The amount I spent on extra wood could easily have covered the amount I spent on the good blades. Lesson learned.

P.S. My new fighting technique is unstoppable!
