Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try in the A.M. and post my findings tomorrow.

By the way seeing as that you are also running in a pure DOS mode, do you have any problems running Robotron? Do I need to remap the keys for that game similar to the misc. keys previously mentioned?

: Just like changing normal buttons:

: (after wiring the extra buttons)
: With a keyboard hooked in so you press the default keys, Start a game in mame, press tab, sellect Input (general). (So this will effect all games.)

: Find the inputs you want to change ("Config menu" is usually tab, "UI Cancel" is esc, etc). Sellect that input and press the new button you want to use.

: After changing all the inputs to what you want, exit the game and the settings will be saved for all games. You can now unplug the keyboard, since you have the new keys mapped. (you can also have both the normal keys and the new keys at the same time if you want)

: : I am using the I-Pac and Mame .58 in pure DOS mode with ArcadeOS. I've set my control panel up with 2 8-way joys, trackball, 6 player 1 and player 2 buttons, start1, start2, ESC, Pause, Tab and volume.

: : The I-pac has extra buttons for player 1 and player 2 that I would like to use for the Tab, ESC, volume, Pause (1b7=volume, 1b8= tab, 2b7=pause, 2b8=esc)Can I make this change without reprogramming the I-Pac? If so how? Can I make the changes in the Mame.cfg or the ArcadeOs.cfg?

: : Thanks for any help,
