Here are some general guidelines:

1) The Game must be at least 2 years old, and completed its arcade run.

2) The game must be CPU based (No Discrete Logic Games).

3) The Game MUST have been in the arcades, and be a video game. No Gambling games, no Ticket/Redemption Games, no Pinball (except video pinball), are allowed in MAME.

4) The final decision is up to Nicola Salmoria!

: Just out of curiosity, does anyone know under what criteria MAME decrees a game available for the project? Is it just when the PCB is no longer available from the creators or what? MAME states that it is when the game is no longer for sale so no profit is lost, but some of the games are still being sold on other platforms (Playstation etc)?
