There are no Firewire displays. The 1394 port on a PC doesn't pass through the desktop or any other signal that would normally go to a monitor, it's used for camera control and transfering video between a camera or VTR and a computer.

Think of it as like a printer, your printer doesn't print every screen that shows up on your monitor. It only receives info when you tell the computer to send it.

Besides, there are no Firewire/IEEE1394 monitors, like I said, even if you somehow GOT the OS and MAME to output through it, you'd just be outputting to a camera or VTR, and using an S-video out from there into a TV.

: FireWire sounds better :). I thought it would only be a case of getting a cable from your 1394 to the RGB monitor.. What's a camera got to do with any of it? *Slumps in chair with bottle of whiskey*, back to the drawing board..
