I have coin buttons on it behind the coin door, but my point is that I'm going for authenticity. I think it will feel more realistic for myself if there is a coin door on it. I feel a lot of the games lose their fun when I can just press the coin button as many times as I want to. There's no challenge in trying to stay alive in games like Dungeons & Dragons, which is my all time favorite. Second, I'm looking at this as a fun way to save money. Kind of like a big, multimedia piggybank.
So, with that in mind...
: You actually are going to charge for it?

Yes, but only myself. It's only my wife and me who will be playing it anyway. We don't entertain much, but If guests came over I wouldn't be so rude as to make them pay.

: My coin door works but I also have coin butons.

As do I

: As for not putting a coin in during the frontend, that's the users fault, not much you can do there. Unlock the coin door and use tokens.

You're right. It would be my fault for putting in a quarter when the frontend is up, but that's besides the point. From an "authenticity" point of view it still doesn't make sense that the machine would just eat the quarter.
