OK a real question... How can i get a NEO-GEO game to flipY properly?

ive got a mirrored cab, so i need to use the flipY option in order for games to look normal on my cab... but most neo-geo games (ie. metal slugs, 2020 baseball, samari showdowns) only seem to flip the 1st layer, which is the "inset coin" layer. Mame32 will not filp these at all... is there anything i can do before i remove my big monitor and attempt to maunt it normaly?
