: But just to mention it. It was easy for me to give mine up. They don't work with my EYGO VGA bgrade monitor at all. I got it to work well on my 17" SVGA monitor, but not others. So it will be a solution for some, but not most around here....sigh....

I've got to agree. Most people on this board use either a televison or an arcade mointor for their setups, so the act labs guns, as is, are impractical.

: I was suppost to bid on a wireless joystick that people talk about (that you add a little thing on top of your monitor). It works well no matter what your monitor.... but it doesn't work in nt/2000/xp, isn't supported anymore, can't do 2 player, looks like a stupid phaser. But there was one on ebay for 2 bucks and I forgot to snipe it :(

I've got one of these if anyone has any ideas as to how to fix the drivers. The phaser shape is pretty trivial, since you could mount the pcb in a gun casing fairly easy. Although as-is it's only one player.... with some modification it should be able to work as a two-player system.... I know this because some namco arcade games use sonic guns and they are two player. I believe whatever chip that contols the signal output would have to be modified though.

So what we would need is soemone who's good at making drivers (there is a linux driver available for this gun so there is a open-soure template to go by) and someone who's good at modding circuitry.

Sounds insaine I know, but no more insaine than any of the other suggestions I've heard so far.
:)
