You would want to wire them in parallel, or they likely won't light up too bright. I think the proper way is to have a separate resistor for every LED. I'm using an AC adaptor for an old CD player. Just use the resistance calculator on the link from ErikRuud's previous post. I basically use whatever resistor that keeps the LED from overheating... :/
