Hey! I've never posted on this board before, seeing as how I've got a 28.8 connection at work, and NOTHING loads fast... but, I just thought I'd throw this out:

I live outside of Detroit, Michigan, and I'm TOTALLY into building my own MAME machine. I've been building decent arcade controls for my friends' playstations and dreamcasts, and I found this site.

Anyway, I was nosing around this coin-op place in Livonia, Michigan, and I found that they had THREE cabinets just laying out back, labeled "JUNK"!?!?!?! One was a Jamma cabinet that had no monitor, but the motherboard from a game called "Splash" installed, and "Painted Lady" on the marquee. This cabinet is now sitting inside my place of employment.

The other two cabs? well, there's an old atari racing game, complete with monitor (nonworking? I don't know) and old atari logo steering wheel, and one of those mini benches. And then there's a cab with some sort of periscope device taking up major real estate (although it looks removable), and a red lightbulb inside a cage mounted in the corner. Both cabs have coin doors (no validation mechs) and at least one has one of those old flip-dump ashtrays that were popular back in the day.

The place is called Profit-Plus, and its located on 7 Mile Rd., just East of Farmington Road, in Livonia, MI... I talked to the owner, he said they're free for the taking, but he's taking to the dump next week, so ya'd better hurry. I don't have room for all three, so I took the one I want. But I don't wanna see 'em go to waste! e-mail me if you REALLY need help moving them. I live in the area, and have a stake truck with a lift gate. My rates are real cheap, REAL cheap, but I don't wanna hafta drive more than 50 miles...and you gotta help. :-) --dave
