Just took 2 springs from Happ PBs and put them on the shaft of my plateless Oscar. Extended the PCB that holds the optical pickup and loosened the screw so that it rotates up and down with the shutter wheel. On the other end of the PCB, I put 2 microswitches, one for up amd one for down. It was actually very simple and cheap to do, but works very well!
