arcadeos audio problem

i have a pretty fast puter with a soundblaster pci 128 audio card. i have the computer boot into dos and then run arcadeos. during the autoexec the audio drivers are loaded and i have tested them in dos to see if they work and they do, but when i use AOS, it does not detect the audio card. i changed the settings in the default config but there is no change. any ideas?
